The Rhode Island Southern Firefighters League has teamed up with the Rhode Island Association of Fire Chiefs Foundation and their SAFER grant to present Bridging The Gap by Chief Jeremy Donch of National Fire Radio!

The program begins with a social meet & greet event on Friday, June 6th from 6 PM - 8 PM
at Sons of Liberty Spirits Co., 1425 Kingstown Rd., South Kingstown, RI 02879
There will be a Food truck + cash bar. The League is co-sponsoring this part of the event with the RIAFC!

On Sunday June 7 from 9 AM - 2 PM (Doors open at 8:15 AM.) We will host a 2 part event at the Rhode Island Fire Training Academy at 4 Green Lane in Exeter, RI.

Part 2: Panel Discussion with Fire Service Leaders, including Deputy Chief Kevin Quinn.
Topics to include: Recruitment, Retention, and Training in the Fire Service.

Lunch will be provided and this is a FREE event!

The Speaker:

Jeremy Donch, a 29-year fire service veteran, serves with a suburban volunteer department in New Jersey. A second-generation firefighter, he founded National Fire Radio in 2018 (now a leading platform in fire service social media and podcasts) to preserve fire service traditions while engaging today's firefighters.

Generational divides can weaken firehouse culture. Blame and lack of respect create communication breakdowns, making it critical to find common ground. This presentation explores the cultural relevance of each generation, emphasizing mutual respect, accountability, and ownership. Expect a hard-hitting, interactive discussion on integrity and leadership—both on and off the job. The conversation starts here, but it's up to US, the Fire Service, to preserve our craft.
